Three months of living and working in Nepal, learning about the culture and artisanal craft skills, concluded with a large collection of prototype products for the Fair Trade organization, the Association for Craft Producers.
Floating Leaf
Numerous iterations to perfect the most buoyant shape resulted in this floating, copper Bodhi leaf tea light holder.
A Western View
I drew inspiration from traditional imagery, as well as cultural elements, and melded them with modern design sensibilities. The forms evolved from ACP's current products and aesthetic motifs, taking into consideration the constraints of the artisans and material processes.
Shadow Patterns
Various copper tea lights – sitting and on bamboo stakes – illustrating their unique shadow patterns. Intended for both indoor and outdoor (garden) use.
Annapurna Pattern

Wooden book ends, inspired by traditional Tibetan cloud drawings, made from scrap and excess wood from other ACP products.
